Secretary-General: Alejandra Niebla
Alejandra Niebla is a fourth year International Relations major with a concentration in peace and security. Growing up in a very diverse community, she has developed a passion and life goal to explore and learn about as many cultures as she possibly can. She loves traveling and getting to know the locals, whether she knows their native language or not, she aims in having memorable conversations. Her hobbies are shoe shopping, daydreaming, writing, and talking. Aside from Model United Nations, she works at the U.S Post Office on the Davis campus, looking forward to the interesting customers she'll encounter each day. When she graduates, she would like to try and combine her passion for shoes, international relations and business all into one career path. Overall, she's stoked for the new MUN year and can't wait to take advantage of all the awesome that awaits the club!
Secretary-General for Davis Model United Nations Conference: Megan Nguyen
Megan Nguyen is a second year Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning major. She likes playing volleyball, watching movies and tv shows, playing video games, reading books, meeting new people, having spontaneous adventures with friends and most of all, she enjoys participating in Model UN! She isexcited for this new year and can't wait to meet all our new members!
Secretary-General for Davis Collegiate Conference MUN: Sana Sareshwala
Sana Sareshwala is a second year at UC Davis, double majoring in Political Science and International Relations. She is the Secretary General for this year’s Davis Collegiate Conference (DCCMUN). While not busy with MUN, she likes to cook, take pictures, read, and Zumba. She has also worked with many human rights campaigns and organizations, such as The Girl Effect, NCAPDA, and Soroptimist International, and takes great interest in advocacy projects. Model United Nations is very dear to her and it is an honor to be a part of such a constructive and passionate organization.
Undersecretary-General of Public Relations: Daniel Goldstein
Daniel is a third-year Political Science and International Relationsmajor who is the current Undersecretary-General of Public Relations. He holds a deep interest in government and politics and is also a big fan of sports and entertainment. He has a penchant for trivia andother assorted otherwise useless knowledge. Hailing from Los Angeles, he has negative feelings towards the word 'hella' and likes prefacing freeway numbers with the word 'the'.
Under Secretrary-General of Public Relations: Nathan Hodgens
Nathan is a second year International Relations and Economics double-major. He enjoys long walks on the beach and candle-lit dinners, and a nice round of golf in the evening. And that's right ladies, he's single. But approach him with fear because he is a tiger ready to pounce.
Chief Financial Officer: Asun Oka
Asun Oka is this
year's financial officer for Davis Model United Nations. He is
currently a Junior working on his biochemical engineering
major. Although, his major
is unrelated to the club activities, his interests involve many of
the subjects invoked in MUN discussions and
debates. He finds
International Relations, History, and Biology to be interesting and
thought-provoking. As for his personal activities, he enjoys
traveling around the world and backpacking in the wilderness.
He encourages all
those who are interested in MUN to try out our club. Even if your
major is different or if you don't know much about the UN,
participating in this club will expand your horizons. You might
even discover a new interest or at least a few new
friends.
Undersecretary-General of Fundraising: Eren Kavvas
Eren is a senior International Relations major, her IR focus is "Peace and Security" and her chosen area of study is the Middle East and Africa. Model UN is her favorite activity, she has been active in the club since high school, but she also likes working at the local thrift store and traveling abroad. She is very interested in issues surrounding refugees and how they are protected by international laws.
USG of Delegate Prep: Brendan O'Brien
Brendan O’Brien is the type of guy who would write his introduction information in the third person. When not dealing with school-related business, he can usually be found playing bass in his rock band, playing video games, watching anime, or working on his science fiction novel. He also is a certified politics and international affairs junkie, which goes a long way toward explaining his passion for Model UN. If you want to really impress him, bring him tea or a fine cheese. He is currently alive and is most certainly not a zombie, vampire, werewolf or any other 1950’s B-movie monster.
Undersecretary-General of Delegate Preparation: Shamali Joshi
Shalmali is a second year Electrical Engineering major with a minor
in Computer Science. She has been involved with Model UN since her
Freshman year in high school and is very excited to be one of the
USG's of Delegate Prep this year. When not following world events,
she loves to read, surf the internet and hang out with friends. She
is a massive bookworm and is always looking for good books to
read.
Undersecretary-General of Technology: Reginne Ang
Hello! My name is Reginne Ang and I am a 2nd year Economics major.
This is my second year participating in MUN and it has been a blast
so far. When not printing position papers, I enjoy watching
TV, snacking and getting my snooze on.
Undersecretary-General of Records: Alex Lee
Alex Lee is a sophomore International Relations and German double major and co-historian. She likes reading, sketching, and having a nice talk with friends. She is interested in learning about how different individuals, cultures, and States interact with one another and diplomatic processes.
Undersecretary-General of Records: Elizabeth Goldman
Elizabeth Goldman is a third year Psychology major with an emphasis
in Biology.Elizabeth has been an active
member in the Davis Model United Nations club since her freshmen
year at UC Davis. In the past she has served
as a secretariat member for the club, DCCMUN, and DMUNC. This year
Elizabeth is happy to serve as Historian
for the Club, the Under Secretary General of Public Relations for
DCCMUN and the Under Secretary General of
Delegate Services for DMUNC. Aside from the Davis MUN club
Elizabeth is a Resident Advisor in the dorms for
freshmen students. After graduating from Davis, Elizabeth hopes to
attend medical school to become a pediatrician. In her spare
time Elizabeth enjoys running, reading, baking and watching movies
with friends. From Laguna Hills, CA she enjoys spending time
at the beach with friends and family when she is back in
So-Cal.
